You Are Perfect

             So, here’s what’s going on:

“You are at home in God, dreaming of exile…” (T-10.I.2)

You are of God, therefore you are already Perfect. Everything else is a dream.

God being All must consider It’s Own opposite. But, being All, God cannot have an opposite. So, the moment the idea of the opposite of God arose, it was undone. But this impossible idea contains time, the opposite of Timelessness (Eternity). So, within the idea, it seems as though the idea of not-God arose long ago and will be undone in some indefinite future. The way A Course in Miracles puts this, the idea was given to Spirit, God’s Extension through Christ in time. So, time—or consciousness, illusion, or dream—is the Atonement, or an expression, or story, of undoing of an impossible idea that was over as soon as it was thought.

So, everything that happens in time is predetermined. All thoughts, feelings, and actions are part of a complex tapestry of undoing unfolding. There is nothing to do but watch. The person with which you identify, or merely experience if you have shifted consciousness, is no more than a dream figure playing his or her or their part perfectly. You realize in the holy instant I need do nothing because you are already Home in God.

So, you do not have to perfect yourself. You do not have to attain pure consciousness. You do not have to drop ego. You do not have to worry about reincarnation. You do not have to forgive. You do not have to love everyone. If you are moved to do any of this, it is the Atonement unfolding through the person. If you are not moved to do any of this, it is the Atonement unfolding through the person.

You cannot fail, not just because the Atonement is done, but because it is nothing. You are Home in God.

What you may want to do is reorient your mind to this awareness, which might take some work. I, and other teachers, can help you with this. But whether you do this or not is the Atonement.

You may want to invite Spirit into your awareness so It can guide you and bring you peace. After all, It is in charge of time and consciousness and the Atonement and knows how things will unfold. But whether you do this or not is the Atonement.

You are perfect because you are of God. The person is perfect because it can only play its part in the Atonement perfectly. There is no other choice. This awareness could release your mind from guilt. But whether it does or not is the Atonement. In any case, it does not matter. It is only an expression of an impossible idea that arose and was immediately undone. It is a dream.

I wrote all those comments with the assumption I know what you are talking about. Which I don't.

And to compound the problem I didn't ask the Holy Spirit first if I should write that stuff. So it puts me back into a learning situation. It's all good.

Thank you, Liz. This has confirmed what has been occurring for me recently. Holy Spirit has been teaching me this. As always, you are wholly and completely helpful. Once again you have tied the knot to complete the bow.

Will, I don't know what wrote in your deleted posts but had you kept them up on here, that simply would have been part of the Atonement playing itself out. On the other hand, since you did delete them, I guess that is also the Atonement playing itself out. The no guilt thing is KEY! As Rosemarie at FACIM once asked "can you imagine living your day completely without any guilt whatsoever?" We all shuddered....hehe

Many of us were taught (myself included) that mistakes or errors were to be treated as sins. They are simply errors to be looked at with Jesus and given to the Holy Spirit for correction. It's how the Course would have us deal with the ego. It's hard especially when you do it in public.
