Don't forget the Manual for Teachers!

This is a manual for a special curriculum, intended for teachers of a special form of the universal course. (M-1.4)

I have met students that mistake the Manual for Teachers for a guide for study group leaders or mentors! They never look at it. Yet the Course is a study course and its goal is to make you a teacher of God. The Manual for Teachers is for you and it is essential. The Text lays out the Course’s theology, the Workbook is the practice that makes the theology make sense and the Manual for Teachers lays out the goal you are trying to achieve.

The Manual is my favorite of the three books because it answers direct questions and it’s easy to read. It should be referred to regularly by students at any level of study.

I read the Manual for Teachers first, thinking of it as the Reader's Digest version of the Course, or the Cliff Notes.

Currently, my favorite book, of the three, is the Textbook. It's what I think of as hardcore. Jesus does not pull any punches.

Committed to the Spiritual Process

If you’ve been reading my blog/newsletter for the past few weeks then you know significant things have occurred in the life of this mind. Four years ago the ego (personal thought system) fell away. I didn’t realize it fully and I spent three and a half years personally in a rather barren place in this mind, though there was peace in the rest of my mind. Evolving Practice with ACIM

           The Course was dictated to two who had a sense of Spirit working in their lives. After all, they were taking down the Course itself! The Universal Christ Mind sought to develop and grow their awareness of Spirit through the lessons in the Workbook as well as simply in discussion with them, privately and through the Course .
